  • In other news, Calvin and Nevin have saved up enough between them to get an Xbox... The regular old kind, but it is a definite upgrade for us.
  • Awesome! And the best thing is that the games for original Xbox are so cheap now. I haven't paid more than $10-15 for a game in probably about a year now. (I buy everything used, because I am cheap.)
  • Here's a thought, if you need an excuse to procrastinate:

Why not do some nostalgia reviews for the Xbox? Maybe thinking about age appropriateness for eleven 9 and 8... (No GTA).

I have to say, if it wasn't for my Halo fascination, I wouldn't touch the Xbox 360. I was just told the Sony Playstation III involves free online multiplayer. That's a dealmaker in my book.
  • Considering I haven't posted much of anything for the past week... I don't know whether that's too much need for procrastination or not enough. Probably not enough. Anyway, I rarely feel competent enough to do game reviews because I often don't finish games at all. I like playing them, but if I get stuck, I'm more likely to change to a new one than work my way through the difficult part. But I can do a "here's some games I loved playing" post if you'd like some recs.

And yeah, but the PS3 also costs $250 more than the 360, and doesn't have as many good exclusives (unless you're an RPG fan--I'm an FPS fan, and there are more FPSes on Xbox), and doesn't have as good graphics. The PS3 is loads better graphically than the PS2, but the Xbox still wins. Plus, plus, the 360 acts as a media center, and I don't know if the PS3 does that (and the 360 may not work with Macs).
