  For shame, Jands! To give the Anderson and the Godard the same rating.

  Heh. Rating is a tricky business, and involves not only global objectivity (Anderson vs. Godard), but also internal oeuvre considerations (THIS Anderson film vs. other Anderson films, and THIS Godard film vs. other Godard films). Like, I'd rate Royal Tenenbaums superior, and Band of Outsiders superior, but those aren't really the same superior. I've toyed with giving a "Masterpiece" rating to help distinguish those, but I'm really hesitant to do that on any film I've only seen once.
  
  I expect the Godard rating will go up after I see it again, though. My general difficulty with the last couple of Godards I've seen is that without knowing the political situation of the time very well, I can't get a handle on his more overt politicalness.

  Oh and I hadn't heard of The Darjeeling Limited. But now I think I'll see it. How does it compare to The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (which I love more than The Royal Tenenbaums)?

  Tineke, I haven't actually seen The Life Aquatic yet. But I don't think The Darjeeling Limited is quite as good as Tenenbaums.

  Yes. Although he still just has an xbox. I would spend a lot of free time playing xbox and computer games with him. Although I never seem to have enough time to ever finish an xbox game.
