  Another Truffaut-ite defects for Godard -- love it!
  
  Have you not taken a look at Masculin Feminin? It may be my favorite of all his 60s work.
  
  And email me (filmboblog@gmail.com) if you have any interest in taking 4 of Godard's 80s films off my hands. It's amazing how many people no longer have a VHS player.

  Masculin Feminin is second in my Netflix queue...I'm doing them roughly in order (though I didn't do these three in order because I didn't start off to watch Godard's entire output...that plan came in the midst of watching them), which puts Alphaville first. I'm really looking forward to Masculin Feminin A LOT, though. I've heard many good things about it. On the other hand, it doesn't have Anna Karina, right, and I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. ;)

  Crap, I just noticed that somehow Le Petit Soldat and Les Carabiniers got out of order, which would put Masculin Feminin in fourth place. I might have to go out of order...what do you think?

  You want to watch all of Godard eventually, right? If so, I would say you can leave it as is. I personally enjoy watching the good with the not-as-good.

  And yes, I'm for seeing everything. I sort of like going in chronological order to see the filmmaker's progression, and to pretend that I'm actually seeing the films as they came out, whether good or great. Only closer together, of course.

  What about 2 ou 3 choses que je sais d'elle (Two or Three Things I Know About Her )? I've only seen it once, but there was so much there, it inspired so much thought that I always wanted to rewatch it, but never got around to.

  I haven't seen 2 ou 3 choses, and it's not on DVD, so I can't get it right away. My library at home in St. Louis has it on VHS, though, I just discovered, so I'll try to see it when I'm home in August!
  
  (filmbo, they also have Celine and Julie Go Boating, so I'll make sure I get that one, too, and lose my Rivette virginity.)

  You may 'get lucky' with 2 or 3 Things -- Rialto's new print of it has been touring the country. Though I think it may have already passed through the mid-west.

  I'm actually in school in Texas right now, rather than St. Louis, but if it comes to Austin (and I can find out about it) I'll try to make it down there.
  
  I was homeschooled, actually, but if I had gone to public school, it would have been Francis Howell (in St. Charles), but I more likely would have gone to Westminster Christian Academy. You can see I get the question a lot. ;) Are you a St. Louisian in some capacity?

  I went to Wash U and then worked at BJC for a few years after graduating, but I was there long enough to know that the high school question might be the most asked question in the area. =P
