  I'll bet it's "Lennon-McCartney" because Michael Jackson bought a big chunk of the early rights (if not all of them) which are probably termed "Beatles" even though John and Paul did the writing.

  Ah, I figured it was a rights issue. I'd forgotten the Michael Jackson connection. That could also perhaps explain why most of the songs were from later albums (I think they were all from Revolver or later except for "I Saw Her Standing There," which does sort of mess up that hypothesis).

  I haven't stopped by your blog in a long time, but since I am watching Idol this year (at least so far), I knew your blog was the place to come. I didn't want to comment on your live posting above for tonight's show, but so far, I like tonight better than last week.

  Jennifer, hee. And really? Generally I think last week was stronger than tonight so far. Maybe I was just so in love with Brooke's performance last week that I had a rosier view of the show in general. But some of my favorites from last week haven't gone yet, so we'll see.
